In short: once a service has been delivered, it is not refundable. Please read this page before you buy, because it sets out exactly when you can and cannot change your mind. It applies alongside my Terms and Conditions and does not affect your statutory rights.

Nothing is refundable once it has been delivered

Because everything sold here is either digital or delivered in person, work cannot be returned once it has been done. Specifically:

  • Downloads, guides and course material are not refundable once you have started downloading or opening them. You confirm this at checkout before payment.
  • Consultations are not refundable once the session has taken place.
  • Document reviews are not refundable once the written feedback has been sent to you.

This is not an arbitrary rule. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the right to cancel a distance contract ends once digital content has been accessed with your consent, or once a service you asked me to begin has been fully performed.

Before delivery, you can cancel

You have 14 days from the day after your order is confirmed to cancel work that has not yet been delivered, without giving a reason. If I have started but not finished, I will keep a fair amount reflecting the work already done and refund the balance.

In practice that means: cancel before you download, before your session, or before the feedback is sent, and you will be refunded.

How to cancel

Email akinniyibd@gmail.com with your name, order number and what you are cancelling. A clear statement is enough. Where a refund is due it is made within 14 days, to the original payment method, with no fee.

Missed and rescheduled sessions

Sessions can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you do not attend and gave no notice, the session is treated as delivered and is not refundable. If something genuinely unavoidable happened, tell me. I will be reasonable, but this is a courtesy rather than an entitlement.

If something is actually wrong

Separately from cancellation, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires that services are carried out with reasonable care and skill, and that digital content is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Those rights cannot be signed away and I do not attempt to.

So if a download is faulty or will not open, tell me and I will repair or replace it, or refund it if I cannot. If work was not carried out with reasonable care and skill, I will redo the relevant part; if that is not possible within a reasonable time, a price reduction may apply.

What is not a fault in my service

My services are educational and professional guidance. I help you understand your position and present your evidence clearly. I do not control, influence or predict the decisions of third parties.

An unsuccessful application, a rejection, a declined endorsement, or any other outcome from an endorsing body, employer, university, funder or government department is not a defect in my service and is not a ground for a refund. This is stated plainly before you buy, and no outcome is ever promised.

Equally, disagreeing with my assessment is not a fault. Honest feedback sometimes tells you something you did not want to hear; that is what you are paying for.

Free items

Free downloads and free consultations involve no payment, so there is nothing to refund.

Chargebacks

If you believe something has gone wrong, please contact me first. I would much rather resolve it directly than through your card provider, and I will always look at a genuine complaint properly.
