Description
Understand CDM responsibilities and demonstrate your reasoning
Independent self-paced training for overseas-qualified engineers, graduates and early-career civil engineering professionals developing their knowledge of practice in Great Britain.
Theory comes first. Work through clear explanations and concept checks, then apply the principles to a fictional civil engineering project.
Your course includes
- 18 structured lessons with illustrations, worked examples and self-marked practice.
- A six-part Brookfield project workbook.
- A separate Ashcombe final assessment with my written feedback.
- One resubmission within 30 days of feedback.
- A provider-issued Certificate of Assessed Completion after passing.
Delivery terms
Ongoing access to the course lessons, with no scheduled 12-month lesson-access cutoff. Assessment submission and course support are included for the first 12 months from enrolment. Submit your initial assessment within those 12 months. I provide written feedback within 10 working days of receiving your submission. One resubmission is included within 30 days of feedback. If the included resubmission window extends beyond the 12-month assessment and support period, it remains available until 30 days after feedback.
Assessment and suitability
This is open-book individual work. The pass standard is 70/100 overall, at least half the marks in every task and no unresolved critical safety or responsibility misunderstanding. Payment does not secure a pass.
Relevant engineering qualifications or experience and sufficient English for technical reading and writing are expected. This course does not establish competence for a principal appointment, provide site employment experience or guarantee a job, interview or sponsorship. No external accreditation is claimed.
Instructor: Damilola Akinniyi. Internal exercises are self-marked. My individual written feedback applies to the final assessment.
Please read the refunds and cancellations page before you buy. Your lessons open once your payment is confirmed.
