CV Review Session for a UK Civil Engineering Role (1 hour)

Description

This session is for one purpose: a specific civil engineering job in the UK that you want to apply for. I look honestly at your chances for that role first, and then help you shape your CV for it, so you apply with a clear view of where you stand.

Please run your CV through my free CV review first and revise your CV based on the feedback. Many people find that is all they need. If you still want my personal help for a specific job after that, this session is the next step, and because your CV is already stronger, we can go much further in the hour.

Who it is for

• You are applying for a civil engineering role in the UK, including graduate, design, site, geotechnical, structural, highways or water roles.
• You have a specific job in mind, with its advert to share.

What is included for £100

• I read your CV and the job advert before we meet. You send both at least 24 hours ahead, so I arrive with notes and we spend the hour improving your application rather than reading it.
• An honest view of your chances. I tell you how well your experience matches the role, and what would strengthen your application.
• A one-hour online session with me to tailor your CV to the job and answer the questions you bring.
• Rewrites done together. We rewrite your profile and your three most important bullet points during the session, so you leave with finished wording.
• A written action plan. Within two working days of the session, I email you your top five changes in order of importance.
• One re-check. You can send your revised CV once within 14 days, and I will reply in writing on whether the changes have worked.

If time allows, we can also practise two likely interview questions using examples from your own projects, and look at which codes and standards to name and how your projects map to the attributes for professional registration.

How it works

1. Check my available times. Look at my booking page and make sure a time suits you before you pay.
2. Pay here. Pay £100 on this page and keep the order number from your payment confirmation email.
3. Book your time. Go back to my booking page, choose your time and enter your order number in the booking form. Bookings without a valid order number will be cancelled.
4. Send your documents. You will receive an email from hello@damilolaakinniyi.com confirming your session. Reply to it with your CV and the job advert at least 24 hours before we meet, so I can read them and come prepared.

Payment is non-refundable once your session has taken place, or if you miss it without giving at least 24 hours’ notice. You can cancel before the session, as set out in the refunds and cancellations policy.
